hi, i have a stupid problem. Whenever I recieve messages in outlook xp the inbox shows two of each message. i'm sure that there is a simple fix but i don't have the patience to find it.

ummm this is prolly the wronf forums to ask this should be in wither OS or 3rd party apps but anyway, the only thing i can think of, is maybe you have the email address in there 2 times so when you click on send/receive it connects twice and gets 2 copies of each.

i had the same issue for a while. every now and then it happens. I never thought much of it, all i did was wait a second, it realised there was 2 and erased 1...

i'm actually using two seperate email accounts. One email accounts' messages goes to the inbox and the other goes to a seperate folder.

humm....it could be message rules.

try deleting the account and re-adding it. check your rule setup as mentioned before... if nothing else add the account to outlookexpress and see if the issue occurs there. OE should be on every machine... if the issue occurs in OE the issue is with your POP account.
