Hi people,

I want to create an application that will have a database to communicate with a financier machine.Every time the sales man will sell for example an apple and cut a a finance proof the database will update the apples field with one less.When the salesman will cell a cheesecake the field of cheescakes in the database will go one les and so on.The connection to the financier machine will be through a serial port or a usb.Can somenone give me guidance on how i will achieve that connection and if there are any libraries in .NET for doing that?

i believe that will all depend on the machine you purchase. the company you purchase it from should have documentation on how communicate with it.

it is a machine that gives you the check with the price and describes what you buy and how much it cost.like the one they have in supermarkets.
