New Render: Deodrant Can :)

got bit bored today. i thought i'd try to take my modelling skills to another level. while it might look quite simple the area around the top was quite a challenge for a noob like me ;)
i based it around a deodrant can i had nearby and i pulled the texture together in photoshop.
what u think? :)

not bad.. lighting looks a bit weird..

only thing it seems like to me is the top and u said it was hard, maybe its the lighting.

I agree that it looks good, but I also agree that the lighting needs work

Nice one dude! I really like it. I dont think there's something wrong with the lighting, altho the shadow looks a bit odd. Nice job!

as always man great work, i dont think the lighting is messed up, but i think the plastic top is to shinny for a platic top, also is that your reflection in the can?

Dude, put some HDRI on that - and then render it with global illumination and it'll be perfect. Nice modeling there.

not that much different - what v. 3dmax do you have? and do you have anything like brazil or finalrender? Get a brazil beta if you don't - it'll give you 100% better renders.

actually that last one was with brazil, not the latest version tho. i'll have to explore the settings more i suppose. ah well. more exercises soon :)
