Welcome to Dream.In.Code johnpean, You should intro yourself in the lounge in the 'Who are you and where are you from' thread,

ok heres my HO , It needs work, Hosting sites should be more professional , doesnt need all that jazz you put in there , also im not a fan of the green borders , and everything is way to big.. I think some Re-vamping and you will be on the right track , Try to think up a nice unique logo for yourself, This is a start but it needs work, just look at other web hosting sites to get some good ideas, you will get it down soon enough though.

This is a combined sitecheck from myself and fyrestorm:

Awful colors, the use of green and yellow is so 1995 and GeoCities (are they even still around?)

The blinky buttons in the nav are horrid, they make me want to look at the word 'email' not at what you do (hosting I presume?)

The nav took over a minute to load on my dialup connection. If I wasn't doing a site check, I would have left within the first 10 seconds. Hosting is supposed to be FAST, not sit and wait. You need to design your website to load FAST so your customers think you are FAST.

Lose the animated world, find some nice trendy looking shot of the earth or a map or something. But the .gif animations have gotta go.

Here are some really good hosting sites you can look at:
http://mediatemple.net
http://burlee.com
http://verio.com

My site for hosting is:
http://dream-studios.com

If you're gonna want to sell hosting, you're probably gonna wanna start from scratch. And learn some solid design techniques before you unleash a site for public consumption.

ive got to be honest - this site is awful, terrible layout colours and navigation.

saying that, everyone has to start somewhere - don't be put off, it'll come. If i was you
I would look round some sites you admire and get some inspiration and decide on some more user friendly colours - not colours like you currently have that put people off.

then draw some layout ideas out on a piece of paper until you have something you like. then start building it. i hope this doesn't sound to patronising (spelling?), its not suppose to be.

good luck

Ok, my ideas on it. A hosting site shouldn't be using black and green frames at all. That is more of a beginner, anime or gaming site. You might want to use a light blue and greyish theme. Also, make a true layout. One large image, which is later cut, and coded, etc. It shouldn't really be, code and make a piece of an image for that section.

If you need more info, I can help you out on AIM.
