That is very intresting question and make me to think what the bad habits i have adopted since using Programming languages.here can be the list of that,but i am going to tell some important.
~~~ I have started to staying up late.
~~~ I solve my progarmming problems in my dreams.
~~~ Whenever i go i think how can i resolve particular errors.
~~~ While making any notes i usually add #<Include.h> :-)
~~~ Have uncountable cups of tea.
~~~ Applying Codes on each and every thing and try to Run them :->

I have caught myself a few times writing my notes in list-like structure, and ending them in semicolons.

Well, I won't blame programming in general for this but I will blame the Visual Studio IDE and it's damned Intellisense.
Now when I type documents and such, I find myself typing the first part of a word and pressing . to finish out the current word and start the next one.
I get over it easy when I'm not programming for a while but I've chuckled to myself a few times when I've caught myself doing it.

I just realized I do this one. I was typing out the following message:

also i'm assuming you want whether or not each service is selected put into the email too?

And I realized it was kind of confusing, so I considered putting 'whether or not each service is selected' in parenthesis to break it up. That definitely came from hours of writing conditional statements.

This topic is quite funny. I had alot of problems induced from programming too :online2long:

~End sentences in semi-colons
~Type incomplete words
~Coding in my dreams (actually solved a few problems like that)
~Trying to break down everything into source code with my mind
~Talk in terms of OOP
~I now find topics like these interesting

Things I hope I never do as a result of programming:
~Start counting from zero
~Starting and ending the body of a letter or email in {}
~Ending conversations with return
~Calling people NULL lol

I actually dreamed in code last night. The solution to my final project came to me, then when I woke up, I forgot it. :(

I've only been programming for 3 months and i get angry at anything (especially electronics) when they don't respond to certain commands. ex. the other day I almost destroyed my Wii when Wii Play briefly wouldn't let me use the home button.

Sometimes if I'm not thinking strait I'll try to escape my quotes.

I'm guilty of starting my count from 0. Commenting out lines in papers is nothing. Just wait till you try commenting out people.

Also try to break down any program (video games, office, etc...) down to its functions (ie: how they would do X or Y ).

Last one just stems from my need to know how everything works. You can guess how religious I might be.

I use C operators, !=, ==, ||, etc..., in personal notes and on social networks, I've even started incorporating Regex... this has seriously got to stop. Perhaps my worst habit is my posture, I'm 6'2" but I probably look closer to 5'10" the way I stand 'naturally'!

I ended up developing a small language for describing problem sets in math. I had an overly zealous math teacher that liked to give overly complicated problem sets. It describes sets of numbers really, not just problems out of a book.

"x-y" creates a range, where x and y are numbers
"!x" creates a condition(meaning "not x") which can be applied to a range to filter out values
"%x" creates a condition which can be applied to a range meaning "divisible by x"
"!%x" creates a condition meaning "not divisible by x"
"r+x" means "every x'th element in range r"
"s,x" means apply condition to x to set s(results in set), append a range or number to a set or range(resulting in a set)
if a range is directly followed by a condition then the condition is applied to just that range.

This may have been fulled more my math teacher but programing definitely played a part in it.

Also when i wake up in a daze, i find myself trying to program my morning routine.

Quote

Is there a function to brush my teeth for me?
I can't think of any...wait a sec...This isn't possible
hmmm... Is there a way i can make a class for taking showers?...Dammit, I did it again! Stop thinking and brush your teeth!!

Programming has made me long to be in a place where there are other programmers. That is why I joined DIC. People here on DIC can somewhat appreciate my programs and help me with them and teach me and so I can feel like I'm in a world where others have the same interest as me.
