X and Y coordinate in ruby console

What code do i use to print a character in a specified X and Y coordinate in ruby console?

As far as I know, there is no way to print to a coordinate within the console. You may have to look into one of the many GUI toolkits for Ruby. For example, TK.

I'm not sure, but I have a very strong feeling you would be able to accomplish this with ncurses.
