There are a TON of project management suites out there, both online and offline. I've used Microsoft Project, Concerto, Basecamp, and now Unfuddle. What do you look for in a project management application?
For me, the ability to have multiple projects, each with their own mini projects/milestones, and tasks for each milestone is critical. It has to be more than just a task list, or a project list. It has to track and alert stakeholders and give me a very high level view of what I need to do, and what my people are doing.

MS Project suits me fine. I use some a web based Wiki for teamwork, though.

I typically just use SVN and put what I am working on and what errors there are in comments in the files with updates as the SVN comment.

No, sir. Doesn't seem like it to me.
I've used MS Project and trac as well as a proprietary web service at work. Once I got used to trac, I really enjoyed it. Now if only it had pretty Gantt charts.

I used to use ActiveCollab before it went pay-to-use; since then I've switched to ProjectPier, which was a fork of the latest stable ActiveCollab code base.

We just released our Gantt Chart this week so you now have a fully integrated SaaS based, Web 2.0 Project Management solution. Clarizen is unique in its appeal by embracing the entire project team, not only the Project Manager. This is done via easy email progress reporting, plug ins to Outlook and other solutions, intutive dashboard, etc. Also Clarizen uses integrated collaboration feautres such as Discussions/Chats, Wiki style notes and ability to add documents at the discrete level of tasks (not one big shared folder). By focusing on collaboration and project execution and being more team oriented, Clarizen is drawing users from the Enterprise and SMB alike.

We use Intervals, which is an online tool with time tracking and issue-tracking style task management.

I use random scraps of paper and an assortment of thumbtacks all over my cubicle walls.

I'd like to offer to take a look at our developed project management software - Comindwork. It can act as all in one solution for your project needs, can be integrated through the open API, already has SVN integration, file versions. You can easily collaborate through wikis and blogs and express yourself using emolog. Works especially well for distrubuted teams
