It depends on your level and capability to be honest and how well you advertise yourself.
Craigslist? You'd have better luck storming up to a companies front desk and saying you'll design their site. If they're using Craigslist and expect to find professionals then they're really not a client you want to deal with.

this is my very first post here on this forum...
I am also a freelancer working as a web and php developer and want to earn some good projects from here on net.The list that has been shared is really nice...thankx for sharing.
