Modifying Symbols With Drawing Tools

Posted 21 May 2003 - 06:59 PM

Pardon my ignorance, as I'm a newbie to the Flash world. I'm trying to create a motion tween from a .png image which I imported, broke apart, then I made symboles out of each component that I wanted. I'm not sure if that is a good method, but it's the only way I could figure out how to be able to add effects such as tint to a a component of the original image.

Anyway, I need to fine tune some things and want to be able to use the eraser, paint brush, etc. However, it doesn't seem like I can do any of this on symbols. I have my motion tween pretty much how I want it. I just need to alter how a couple things look.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Open the symbol's used until you get to the raw image, and do what you need there.
