java.lang.OutOfMemoryError Stupid massive data set. My team has to waste time with file I/O because we can't fit 800,000 strings into the Java heap space, and none of our changes to eclipse.ini do anything.

Also, not being able to decipher my partners code. Variables should have descriptive names! What the crap is int asd; for?

And most of all, ExpertSexChange showing up in my Google. Grrrrr

I'm finishing up an advanced java course on JSP, servlets, et al. Great learning experience, worst class I have ever taken. Ironic.

Oh man, scope creep is probably one of the worst things to deal with as a freelancer. I was building a website and got it completely finished when my client said, "oh we need it to have a shopping cart as well and have it fit into the design of the page. That won't take long will it?".

Sigh.

Haha

I love Java so can't complain about Servlets but its ironic that i just moved to c++. But I hate that there are so many dam programming languages. There should be a set standard on what language you use depending on your task. So every task use the same language. Which in theory would be the best language to use.

Yeah now that I've got the program just about working I'm really warming up to the Servlets. I think I just needed to get everything working correctly before I could appreciate it. Regardless, I hate when you have to do so much set up and tweak so many things just to get a program started.

well so far learning c++ has been rather trying; i really want to learn it though so i'm keeping at it. pointers in c++ were a huge speedbump so i would have to say those

Yeah pointers tend to be something that a lot of people have trouble grasping when they first start. Good luck continuing to learn C++. If you haven't learned C yet you may want to consider doing so before going on through C++.
