MarkoDaGeek needs a Site Check *Gasp!*

Posted 05 December 2008 - 03:40 PM

Not too often do you see me posting a website for you kids to check out, but hell, why not.

I've been working on a website for the City of Sandstone for a while now (freelance), every little change needs to be approved by the city (which takes FOREVER) so when I make updates to the project they need to be big.

The website is for a city owned Sr. apartment building and cost-effective townhomes, the website is being set up to advertise the two properties.

The write-ups and verbiage is not final yet, the 'Local Community' page has yet to be started, but the overall look and feel of the website is being polished now.

So, what do you think?

I like it a lot. Good use of whitespace, nice crisp images, easy to navigate and see relationships between elements. Code is clean which is always a plus. Overall very nice. The only one thing I would mention is at the top with the roll overs, might be better if they weren't so tall. I would shave off about 15px or so and you would be perfect. But other than that, can't really say I hate anything about it. Looks great.

:)

I'm going to make a spoof site that degrades the city & gives them a bad name. Most importantly I'm going to get my site published before yours.

Just messing with you. It looks extremely professional! Any other living community would be jealous as hell.

One bit of advice, maybe they would appreciate your referral (web development) link at the bottom open in a new window rather than hijack theirs.

Yeah I noticed that, I'll change the link right now.

Sadly you could easily finish your spoof site before this project gets finished.

Thanks for your input sirs.

Looks good, the only thing that I would suggest is looking into getting a better captcha, but other than that it looks fine :)

I think it looks wonderful, only thing I noticed, was the the roll overs in the menu could be a bit darker. It might just be my computer, but I could barely tell it had a roll over effect.

Looks great though :)

What do I think right now? I'm going to visit you, steal your artistic talent and all of your concept ideas. Yes, I will.

I love it. There'se no open space. The design is pretty. Both fun to navigate trough and to watch.

Good work, keep it up.
