So, I was wondering, obviously my skills in ASP .NET are insufficient to be considered for a gainful employment position, so what would you ASP .NET programmers and/or supervisors of ASP .NET programmers expect an ASP .NET programmer to know... Or what should he/she be able to do to be considered an ASP .NET programmer? I am wondering so I know what kinds of things to start working on and building my skills on...

From my experience, you need skills that wont be listed in the job description. For example, my current position's description included knowledge of c# and vb.net. They just assume you would also know HTML,CSS, Javascript,XML and MySQL /MSSQL. This is pretty much expected as ASP.NET is a web technology
