Email in java

Post icon  Posted 21 December 2008 - 12:58 PM

Does anyone know how or a tutorial link? I've seen examples where they have additional packages to install but I've never done that before. Would provide a link but I'm at work on my ipod.

Know a lot about emailing and Java but your question is not clear at all
What do you need help with ?
Building a client or a server ?
On JME or not ?
And the rules always apply

oh wow exactly the same link i used before i posted this topic. thanks mav! your the cockiest. and pbl i dont know how to email from java thats why i started this topic. i guess i should google how emailing works before but my basic question is can i email from java using packages already included in the JDK download. if not how do i install the packages because i have never installed packages before. tutorials or links greatly appreciated as to the method of adding packages. my apologies for not specifying the exact question at hand i as implied do not know anything pertaining to how to email from java, and typing from my ipod it was hard to type alot about my topic. my bad.

Well now you've made me feel all guilty. :(

I thought the first result was pretty self-explanatory, but the link for java mail was broken after checking. Here's the right link:
http://java.sun.com/...oads/index.html

I haven't actually installed it myself but I'd assume it downloads with some sort of readme. And because that's released by Java, I'd trust it before any third party package.
