Is there anyone here who is a poker addict? My question is that what is the best free OFFLINE poker game on the web? I have killed much of my time looking for one but no avail. I find online games slow so I thought offline would do. Thanks in advance. And oh, I am using Windows only.

I play all the time.
Are you looking for something to download from the web and play against the AI? I'm not sure what you mean by an offline poker game on the web? If you are on the web you are "online"

Ok got ya.
I would say you are going to have trouble finding something like that to download for free on the net.
Chances are your best bet is going to be to buy something from a store.

Hi i play poker all the time too
In my opinion, playing poker offline against the AI is boring...
And your poker skills won“t grow! Why not playing with playmoney at pokerstars
or full tilt??
Playin against real people is much more fun

I believe he may be looking for an offline game in order to compensate for the slow speed he encounters online.

Hoyt Casino is a fun game to play offline. Has a lot of different games, Texas Hold-em, Omaha Hold-em, Roulette, and tons more.

And that's true. Probably I will have to cope up with online games because Nykc's suggestion is not free but that was what I wanted.

I have a Hoyle card games cd. You might try something like that. They're not too expensive, although they are not free.

Playing online poker doesn't help you get better. The whole point of poker is to read the other players.

You can most certainly make reads playing on-line poker.
You can read people on line by their betting habits. You can pick up on if a person always bets when they are on the button or in the blind regardless of their hand.
There are tons of different reads you can make on-line and it absolutely helps you get better at poker, helps you gain experience in situations and how you should play certain hands.
Im going to guess you dont play much poker from that statement?
The whole point of poker is to win money.

That only works if they reveal their hands (depending on the game). Otherwise you're blind to their operations.
To each their own.
edit: Yeah, the point is to make money, I should have said "The key to poker is reading other people"

Your never blind to their operations. you read the player differently to how you would live, but you can still get tells even if your not seeing their cards. You can tell if their aggressive, tight, play the button strong constantly, like limping to reraise etc.
I have been playing poker since i was 18, so for 6 years roughly. I have not needed to work in that time. Last year i had profits of over £300k on all poker sites i play (Actually a very small amount compared to some of my friends. One player i play with is one of the biggest online players at pokerstars. He had over a million in profit from tournaments alone, he is supernova elite which means pokerstars pays for all the big live tournaments they sponsor, he has nearly four million poker points, which is enough to trade in for a porshe cayman, and he still lives in a flat in london with his mum!).
Now in my case, what i am trying to prove is that 6 years of living off poker does not relate to luck. Its still a very skillful game online. But i will admit that its a tottally different skill than playing live. I remember when i went vegas for the first time a couple of years ago (my first live tournament). I got dealt bullets and i nearly jumped out of my seat with excitment. If the other players did not get a read on me, they must of been very stupid! Atleast at home, my excitment is hidden behind a computer screen!
