usb port accessing with vb code

iam new to vb. iam working on a project to make communication with the hardware using usb port. i like to read and write datas to the usb port through the code. please help me in how to read and write datas to the usb port using vb code and how to establish a usb connection.

i think
you want a start here

just try to make the usb port as a virtual com port with some dlls specified (Note: its based on the component you connect in the usb port)

and connect the com port with the help of MSCOMM
