Exercise?

Posted 24 January 2009 - 12:57 PM

Do you guys exercise often? I do zumba 2 times a week and I go to the school gym on wednesdays. I'm thinking about getting one of those giant bouncy balls to sit and bounce on while I study/code to help burn calories. Multitasking ftw. Man, I really need to get in shape. I went to the doctor and found out that I gained my freshman 30 in one quarter >_>. I have drank nothing but water the past week or so and take the stairs instead of the elevators now (and some of my classes are 5 flights up >_>). What steps are you taking towards fitness? We should make a biggest loser competition!!!!

I've been doing 100-300 push-ups a day for about a month now. That's about it.

I've been far to busy to use my gym membership lately, but I still do 50 to 75 sit-ups on my bench at home.

I've never exercised in my life, although I'm 11 stone and can eat as much as I like and I never put on weight :crazy:

Wow. I can only to like 3 pushups and 20 situps. Lol. I'm fat. Gym memborships can be expensive, and a waste of money if you don't go. At Wright State we can go to the gym for free. I also payed for a year membership to the Springfield YMCA to do zumba. My membership was only like $65 a year because I'm poor, but I still think it's worth it.

I meditate as well! It's good to know that people are doing exercise. After all the mountain dews and coffee and sitting coding, the pounds can really add up. Thats what happened to me.

So what do you think about a biggest loser contest? :P It'll encourage us to try and stay healthy in our obese society ^___^

@jacobjordan,
@no2pencil,
Err. But isn't that will only build specific muscle? If you do sit-up everyday, only your abdomen muscle will lose fat. Still need to do other exercise to lose fat at other place.

Though i didn't say in my other post, i do sit-ups as well, but only about every other day because i'm too lazy. I usually do about 100 sit-ups every other day.

That'd be funny. Have a flat, toned tummy and big flabby arms! Ha ha.
