well basically its an unmaned air vehicle..
..
capable to perform VTOL(vertical take off and landing) as in a helicoptor..
:)
but instead of one main rotor and a tail rotor as in a helicoptor..
it has a cross frame with four main rotors and no tail rotor..
:)
but the only advantage is that we remove the complex link mechanism and heavy power consuming actuators required to move the helocoptor..
:P
instead we can move the quadcopter in any direction by just changing the speed of the motore..
..
well these are the basics of the quadcopter..
..
now comes the interesting part its programming and the control..
:)
well iv so far managed to control only one axis of the quadcopter i.e. the pitch..
it has six degre of freedom..
x
y
z
these are the linear movements..
and
pich
roll
and yaw
which are the angular movements..
..
iv programmed in C++ using an Atmel8051 Microcontrller and managed to control the speed of the motors with its deflection in the pitch axis..
..
iv used an ADXL330 Accelerometer to detect the deflection in the pitch axis..
..
now i am having problem to controll the two axis simoultaneously..
i.e. two feedbacks from the accelerometer in the microcontrollers and the controllers should change the speed in such a way so that in remains balanced..
..
further i was planning to use a gyroscope to controll the yaw axis..
..
but then it wud be three feedbacks in total..
..
that where my brain fails..
and i need help..
