Game of Life

Posted 04 February 2009 - 08:10 AM

Hello, I have been attempting to re-create Jon Conway's Game of Life. Basically, it is a 2D grid of blocks, much like minesweeper, but each block can be either Populated (coloured) or unpopulated (grey). I have created png's for both these images, but I do not have an incredible amount of experience using C#. So far, I have managed to create a linked list and a Node class, but I am unaware as how to attach these images to each node individualy and then output these blocks onto the screen, in a grid format. Any help in how to display and attach these values would be appreciated.
Cheers
Brad

You want a 2-d array. Thet basic concept is you do not 'attach' the image to any part of the array, but the array holds a bit value (off or on) and when you draw the bit goes to the right image.
