I got this joke in my email today:

Last week my wife and I purchased a new computer. We ran into some difficulties while setting it up so we decided to call the customer support phone number we found in the manual.

I picked up the phone and called the number. A man answered the phone and I explained the problem to him.

He began rattling off computer jargon. This confused us even more.

"Sir," I said politely, 'Can you explain what I should do as if I were a small child?'

'Okay,' the computer support guy said, 'Son, could you please put your mommy on the phone?'

Okay it's funny, I can take a ribbing on the Female vs. Male, it's all in good humor. What I find even more funny than the punch line is the fact that the joke actually has somebody answer the customer support line, and right away!!! LMAO!!! Now that's funny! :laugh:

i think tech support would be a neato job, sure you have to put up with retards who dont dont know what right click means (pc users of course but think of the entertainment value...

For me, even mentioning tech support provokes responses ranging from quiet bemusement to knuckle-gnashing mysanthropy... but mostly the latter. :biggrin:

On the upside you do learn bookoo hardware skills, learn how to communicate in Hillbilly ( "So yer wanna I mash ther eff-one key...?" ), and get to surf the internet all day and get paid for it. Maybe you should check it out.

Well, it would be fun if you didn't have to talk to mad people all day long. that's what I didn't like. i can't handle that much negativity day in and day out.  I started to smoke, I would come to work drunk, etc.  It just wasn't for me.

But hey, it's good money so. . .
