OK, every rap song I've ever heard sounded like some 10 year old had fun with fruity loops. "Hey, this isn't like that common rap that's crap, listen to this!" and.. Well. No.

I love metal, however, there's lots of metal I think simply exists to punish your ears. "WROOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FRA GOOH O WROO BOO AHAHAHAHAAAAAAA WROORRRRRRRR MUTHERFUCKER SRAAAA GOO BOO GOO BOO BAAAA GRAAAAA". That's not metal, it's someone trying to sing with a mouth full of gravel to the tune of random banging sounds and string screeching with no identifiable melody.

There is metal I love. It's the stuff with, you know, melodies, identifiable beats, forms, and intelligible use of tonality. Either classic metal or that melodic/symphonic/epic stuff I listen to all the time. There's even screamo songs that still have all of the above (but very rarely).

Now, about techno. I find lots of it boring or annoying. However, there's some kinds of techno I actually like. Paying attention to when this happens, I can hear a clear tone and melody. The stuff I don't like is the typical stuff that just repeats things over and over.

After seeing this, I can see why I also hate rap. It's all the same sounds over and over and it's all going to sound like the same cRap to me because of that.

ok and your right to an extent! most likley the rap you have heard is lil wayne, eminem, ect the new or newer shit but that is shitty rap try listinig to immortal technique dance with the devil is the song or you never know is a nother great one you might just be listning to the wrong rap if this makes any sense im new at this site lol
