Updating from Datagridview

Post icon  Posted 25 February 2009 - 12:38 PM

Is it more likely that a user will be able to make updates in DataGridView so all the data in the grid is updatable (DataGridView.ReadOnly=False) or is it
more likely that a user will click on a row (DataGridView.ReadOnly=True) that they want to update and text boxes with the data from the selected row
will be filled then the user will update just that one row? How are most apps coded in the Windows / Web world?

I've used both designs. Personally, I prefer to use a nifty table over binding rows to components.

Devexpress makes a sweet grid but kinda expensive: http://devexpress.co.../WinForms/Grid/
