I was just curious as to how many hits you need to get a sizeable amount of money? I'm thinking about putting it in my blog.
Thanks,
Phil

What's a sizeable amount of money? $100/mo? $1,000/mo? $10,000/mo?
Hits aren't what makes you money, quality content that attracts a captive audience who click ads makes you money. So if you have a very high CTR, just a few thousand visitors a day could get you a lot of money.

Well for like $100 a month or something. I've heard people who've had google ads on their blog forever and haven't received a single check.

This is true. The cut off to get a check is $100. If you never reach $100, you'll never get a check.
It takes time, LOTS of content, and some descent marketing. Not a short-term strategy.
Content is gold. Write good stuff that interest people, and market it, then you'll start to get some traffic, and maybe the $$ will follow.

I have found that you need to make sure you have content (love the content is gold because that is so true). I am just starting out with adsense and I get a 100.00 check every two month although it is really starting to pick up for me because I have been adding more and more content. I have sites that are just set up as info sites that I add new content to all the time and then have my adsense on there. I have heard but I don't know that having adsense on your actual personal blog is not a good thing but that is just what I have heard. Joel Comm has some great adsense advice you should check it out.
