Progress Bar

Post icon  Posted 06 March 2009 - 09:40 AM

I've searched around Google, but I couldn't come up with any specific answers to what I want.

I have two forms, when the user selects a button, the second form opens and an external executable begins an automated process. The point of the second form, is to only show the current progress of the automated tasks and closes when those tasks are completed.

How would I use a progress bar to show the current progress of an action on a different form without knowing how long it will take?

Thanks

Well, you said a lot.

But to be specific, you asked "How would I use a progress bar to show the current progress of an action on a different form without knowing how long it will take?"

If it's that specific, then simply add a progessbar to the displayed form and set it's style property to marquee. Then simply show the form. The progress bar will keep moving from left to right until the process is done and you kill the form.

Hope that helps...
