I am not competing. Just gving a friendly point to the contestents (like I'd give away hardware I needed). Plus, it isn't like I've processed something towards 20x the # of units of all Team Dream.In.Code combined...

Just a friendly pointer to those running Seti on a Win machine...

just Google Seti@home & service, ya'll will find it...
& if you find the magic pulse, then the Seti@home team will contact you...

Relax fellas The boss said I couldent run it on the Servers AS there building that dl580 to cluster with the existing dl580 exchange server.

But I can run it on my test environment wich is 2 old as hell Proliant 3000's running a whopping 433 MHZ with only 1 processor per server and 3 old gateway athlon 1200+ workstations UGG Im sunk any one with a hyperthreaded p4 will out perform my Dinosaur workstations,
I would probally be faster with 5 abacuses:(

No offense, but running a 2-node cluster with such old hardware is like going into Starbucks and ordering a decaf non-fat latte ... WHAT'S THE POINT?! :)

Well, with 256mB of RAM the 433s are prolly in the 36-48hr/per range & (depending on memory again) the 1200s are gonna be in the 6hr range (& that's running *nix w/ox serve & no verbose option...)

Looks like this is gonna be good....

BTW: everyone who has already PM'd me, you're accts have been noted & properly handicapped (for date). If anyone else wants to join, they need to PM me as soon as they first run Seti...

object, it would be cool if you could post the handicapped scores like once a day, so we can see where we are at, and keep this thread alive

err, how about bi-weekly. I hadn't thought of that, but it *sounds* like a decent idea. Then again, the devil's advocate in me says "let them live in the shadows (of progress)...
