What exactly are you guys needing help with? I'd love to contribute to an open source C# application, just to start having things in my portfolio.

That would be great! Just sign up on the forums. We could start with the engine I suppose. The guys came up with some ideas for the game engine and system flow, but you could start with tile scrolling and stuff.

If you actually want to make a game, it might be prudent to use an existing engine rather than waste time reinventing the wheel.

Defeats the purpose of the project. Our main objective is discover topics of game programming via experience, so we can fully understand the algorithms and logic better.

So, I guess we switched back to Java since that is what most of the development half of the team is most familiar with. Also, Magixion changed the forum skin again. >_>

No offence, but this started March last year, and I don't see any progress. Sounds like you havn't even started coding the engine.

Why is the development so secret?

Because we keep switching languages and nothing gets done Plus, I want to make sure that nobody just pops in, steals the code without putting in effort, and runs off with our project. I actually posted what I have in my DIC blog.
