Execute Coldfusion on Save

Post icon  Posted 17 March 2009 - 09:33 AM

Hello and thanks for your time.

Is it possible to have a coldfusion page (.cfm) with some executable code that will only run when the page is modified? i.e. (This is the code talking)"If anything on this page changes, then run this block of code, which is also on the same page." Or if that is not possible the code to execute can be on another page, I'm not sure at this point.

I have no idea if this is possible and would not be surprised if it isn't.

If it is possible please just respond with a yes or no. If it is I will research and figure it out. I'm not looking for anyone to do my homework. Thank you!!

Because ColdFusion is a server-side coding language it would require two pages, but it should be able to be done. I have no real idea what you are talking about though. What you are saying could me hundreds of things.

I totally agree about the many meanings this explanation could represent. All i wanted to know is if it is possible. Knowing that it will require two pages is very helpful. Thank you! I will continue this post with my findings and the finished project asap.

OK, this project is no longer valid, and I will not be continuing with it. Sorry!
