Posted 20 March 2009 - 05:40 AM

Hi,

this is what im Hopefully going to try and do...

im trying to create a .dll called PDTKey.dll (for example) that will hold all of my applications Product Keys..

Class Libary

Public Class Serials

Public Function Check(ByVal pdkey as String) As Boolean
Dim PKeys(10) As String

PKeys(0)="dsfsdfsdf"
PKeys(0)="xzczxc"
PKeys(0)="wqwesdas"
.
.
.

For index As Integer = 1 To 10
If pdkey=PKeys(i)
Return True	'Returns true if key is found
End If
Next

Return False	'Returns false if key is not found
End Function

End Class

Build your dll and then add its refrence to your applicaation project
Application code

Imports Serials

Public Class Form1
Dim boolChk as Boolean
Private Sub btnCheck_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Dim validate as New Serials()
boolChk=validate.Check(txtSerial.Text)
If (boolChk)
'correct serial key

Else
'weong serial key
End If
End Sub

End Class

Take a look at VB.Net tutorials, There should be a tutorial about Trial period. I think it can be what you are searching for.
