*Ubuntu note: the fact that i can't run a lot of VERY COMMONLY USED software on it and there are no versions for it really sucks. (ie. MS Word), yes i know about OO but its spell checker pretty much blows and there are other things that don't work as well (formula toolbar)*

1) It is running on bad hardware
2) It is using bad drivers
When you're (and I'm not really speaking to anyone in particular) saying that system X is much more stable for you than system Y, what you're really saying is that you have better drivers for your hardware under system X.
Just wanted to toss that out there... I use Linux and I like it, but I'm getting sick of people posting everywhere on this forum that Linux is more stable than Windows because that is very subjective and you all know it.

Really the only reason I use it anymore is just so I can manage to keep Photoshop and Visual Studios. VS not by choice, our College is based in C#.

I'm with you dude, someday's the obstacle of Windows is the Visual Studio (in Unix you can use MonoDevelop but is not good as Visual Studio), for the rest...Unix.

Now I'm pure Ubuntu. I only used my windows side for Netflix anyways.
