I came up with the idea of maybe adding a Sig of The Week cotest to DIC and was wondering how many people would be interested in participating.
It would be a basic thing where you make a signature that follows the week's requirement (be it using a single render, or a styleor whatever) and then everyone can vote on the winner during the next week.
Winner will be chosen by popular vote.
Please feel free to post your thoughts here.

that sounds like a fun idea, i would definately be game for a SOTW competition, but it might be to much sig changing if people went hardcore to win. it might be better off being sig of the month

Almost exactly what I was gonna say after reading the first post.
Although, I don't know if I'd be game with SOTW, so my vote is 'Maybe'.
But I agree with the SOTM.
And if that would have been the question. I would definitely have voted 'Yes!'.
The reason for the 'Maybe' is mostly because I don't have time grabbing my pen tablet and doing anything creative and then maybe not even have the time to notice my contribution in the contest actually won.
(I'm not saying I'm an über pro painter or anything, fairly closer to average, but that's the reason anyway)

Okay, thanks for the thought there guys, I may change it over just because that gives everyone more time, and will hopefully get more people interested.

I understand that the graphics section isn't the most active, but the people who are interested in graphics will see it here. Plus is really isn't a feedback style thread, it is an option on how to improve the activity in the graphics area.

yes but the site feed back is also for suggestions and i figured it would be fun for a lot more people then just those focused on graphic design

At this point it is just brgging rights, but we may be able to set up some kudoes for the winner. I'll have to check with the other staff.
