Master page and subdirectory

Post icon  Posted 08 April 2009 - 05:43 AM

Hi all,

I am a beginner to intermediate and really need some help for the following: I have created my asp.net 2008 website using a master page. using a lot of forms i decided to create a subdirectory "More" and ref. yet still the master page.

I noticed first of all that i had to specify my css file again in these forms (they appeared not to read the master page properly.

so in debug this page renders correctly, but when i use the navigation supplied by my master page it attempt to render the link (page) searching from this dierctory and not the link (page) in its own(upper) directory, also in my normal <a Href .....> link i just refer to that page using <../page.aspx> which works well.

I have tried to create a dummy samename.aspx page in this lower directory and in aspx.vb to server.transfer on the load and pre-load event, however with no success.

is this a problem in asp.net or are there a solution for me.

can any-one help me please
Thanks
