Well I am not exactly into the same type of things as you are, but it is pretty nice. The only thing I would change is the transparency of the content. Making it transparent like you have it makes it a bit harder to read and really makes it feel less put together. Plus it will anchor your graphics and content onto something and make it feel more solid. You could give it a faint transparent look but I wouldn't go anything more than perhaps 20% transparency.
Other than that, looks pretty good. I think as time goes on and you make a tweak here and there, you can polish it up pretty nice.
I like the use of opacity to give the content a slight depth. I would suggest trying to get a few of the flash things off of the side, it slows down the page loading. The last FM thing at the bottom is kinda random, but maybe you have a purpose for it.
I think the text is pretty good, not too bright, but still easily readable. I would suggest making your border colors more white, at the moment they aren't very noticable, and blend in a bit too much with the background color.
The banner image is a little large, I would suggest trying to get it 200 pixels high at the most, and if you choose that rout, try to place a navbar or something over part of it, to maek the space more functional. On smaller resolution monitors a large banner can take up 1 or 2 thirds of the screen, and is quite a turn off.
