hi this is Varun...... I m trying to create a simple music player programatically in c# with not so much design but i am not able to underastand which classes should i use to create a player that can play mp3 files......

Yep, that would be the easiest way to build one. However I think you are limited to .WAV files. I could be wrong.

no, we can play any media file supported by Windows Media Player if we use wmp component otherwise only wav.

Thanks 4 ur advice and d site refrence u hav given me but that site microsoft site is not working..... plz help me out how can i create a music player in c# to play mp3 files......

you can use activeX for rapidly creating a mp3 music player

If you want a very easy to use library then go for irrklang:

Has support for mp3 and other formats.
