as with the xbox 360 gamer tags, I thought it would be nice to have a list of characters that we played in WoW. If this is just taking up space and no one has any interest, feel free to close the topic.
KikDatArse level 80, alliance, protection paladin, Terokkar server.
I have several others, but right now this is my character that I'm playing when I'm on.

I don't know. I don't think I'm willing to pay monthly just to play a game, and I'm too lazy to look into private servers. Not a big PC gamer anyway. I'll get the trial and see what I think.
edit
Downloading now: 66kb/s for 4.6gb. Could take some time.

Copied and Pasted from the other WoW thread:
Whats so great about WoW? Nothing. I'm a fan of every blizzard game and was stoked when WoW was coming out. Went and bought it the first day it came out and got online. Quit playing after 2 weeks cuz it was soooo lame.
Conversation with friends who liked it:
Me: this game sucks.
Them: you gotta get to level 5 and its fun
Me: i got to level 5 and it still sucks
Them: you gotta get to level 10 and its fun
Me: i got to level 10 and it still sucks
Them: you gotta get to level 15 and its fun
Me: i got to level 15 and it still sucks
Them: you gotta get to level 20 and its fun
Me: f*** that....cancel
Oh and the quests....kill 5 skeletons, kill 5 zombies, kill 5 bears....etc.. then when you get to level 10 they switch it up on you: collect 5 bear pelts, collect 5 skeleton hands...etc which you get by killing the animals. I found it lame that not every bear had a bear pelt. Soooo lame
edit: I've been playing blizzard games since the first Warcraft even before Warcraft II was released.

Taxicab
80 Undead Priest
Hyjal-US
Noreturn
80 Tauren Death Knight
Hyjal-US
I'm mostly on the priest, however.
And to those flaming the game, the author just wanted to organize those of the people on DIC who DO play, and enjoy it. No real reason to respond with idiotic comments like "WoW is gay," there's a topic just a couple down for that. And it just happens to be the one most successful online game of all time, but that doesn't really matter I suppose.

To all the WOW haters:
I don't love WoW, but I do occassionally play it with my friends. But if you've ever played it, you have to admit that World of Warcraft is a beautifully crafted MMORPG. It may not be your style of gameplay, but I think Blizzard created a masterpiece considering the genre. They are constantly updating it, and changing things to make it fresh. They even change the game according to the seasons. That's pretty impressive. I have never had a problem with the gameplay(other than its slow pace, but that's how it was meant to be).
Wikipedia says:
"With more than 11.5 million monthly subscribers,[9] World of Warcraft is currently the world's largest MMORPG in those terms,[8][10][11] and holds the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG.[12] In April 2008, World of Warcraft was estimated to hold 62% of the massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) market."
http://en.wikipedia....rld_of_Warcraft
11.5 million people can't be wrong! Just because it's not your style of gameplay, doesn't mean it's a crappy game.
Remember... I don't love WoW, I just appreciate it for being a truely great game.
