Currently a student actually.

I've been using C# for a bout a year now (exactly actually, I think). Came from VB but the reason I moved to C# was actually due to my extensive PHP programming. C# looked interesting and I was right.

Currently working on a console based battleship game(I had a great on on my GameBoy 100 years ago and I'm trying to reinvent it  ) even though I'm not a big gamer.

A real rookie to oop here. My experience was in assembly language (DEC PDP/11) in the 1970's and later Fortran and some C on military flight and weapons simulators. Those old PDP11 based systems didn't even have floating point processors (used what was known a "B" and "Q" scaling), so writing real time aerodynamic software was quite a challenge.

So a lot of bad habits.......

Hello everyone.

Been programming for about 15 years. Self taught with no real training, but always learning. Currently working for a very large corporation on their in house software. Have been learning C# for about 4 years now.

Previous languages were Clipper, Visual objects, Java, Delphi, and finally C#. I learn what ever is paying the best.

Just finished up some personal programs and am looking for something else to tackle. I just get bored and always need a project to play with at night.

Anyway, glad to be here. :-)

Have been programming in C# for about 6 months now (started using it as part of a summer job and haven't looked back). Currently I am working on:
- A compiler for a basic, cut-down version of C for a University assignment
- A menu system similar to the circular menu in Crysis (if you have played it) for launching apps in Windows. It works, just doesn't look pretty yet
- An app that will let you browse files remotely on a file server. Will be mainly used for browsing recorded episodes, hoping to make it so you can search for an episode based on key events (ie so-and-so dies) rather than relying on episode numbers

Hi I'm Chris,
and I'm a C#-aholic

I first started using C# about 3 years ago for a class assignment. I was pressured to use by one of my professors. Ever since then I've been hooked and I've been abusing it for a year an a half now. I've tried to reduce my dependency on it (Java, VB, CF, C++) but the addiction has grown too strong and theres no turning back. Sometimes my fingers start to shake until I start typing C# code.

C#- my perfect drug.

My current project in C#- Text Mining Google and extracting broad understandings to a given search term. (Basically tells you what the search term is, and not just how to find it on the internet)

Greetings,

I have been using C# since Microsoft first started its distribution. I'd been a C++ and VB developer, among numerous other disciplines, for many years prior, but C# grew on me quickly. My first C# task for NASA involved a simulation of a Grayscale Optical Correlator (GOC), which is an experimental optical computing device employed for automatic target recognition. At present I am working in C# via funding through Oklahoma State University, to develop an optical character recognition user interface that extracts burnt-in text and symbols from video data, relying upon a Radial Basis Function neural network I created, also in C#. As you can surmise, I have a specialties in artificial intelligence and machine vision, however I enjoy C# for any GUI or database/data mining task just as well.

Hi,

I've been programming for about 27 years, Started on a VIC20. Professionally programming for about 24 years. Basic, FORTRAN, C/C++/C#, and Java.

At work I'm coding an electronic medical records (EMR) software package. I focus on integrating with external hardware and software. i.e. X-Ray systems, Scanners (TWAIN), document management (PDF, TIFF, DICOM, etc) and Practice Management Systems via HL7.

For fun, I'm working on a MIDI routing program that translates keystrokes to MIDI messages. And on a program that generates mathematical wallpaper.

Hello -

My name is Bryan, and I have been developing in C# for about 7 years now. I am also strong on the Database side, as I have also been an Oracle and SQL-Server DBA for 15 years as well. Most of my projects have been based on this skill combination - handling backend web development and interaction between code and the database.

Right now I am working on a side program (moon lighting) to develop a new ERP system. I am also working on a new managed Object Oriented database for small application that do not require SQL Server or Oracle.

Look forward to working with everyone.

C# dude, reporting in.

Been using C# for about 2 years now, though only for the past 6 months or so has it been my primary language at work. Been doing some server side processes to run stored procedures against a SQL server db, and send emails etc.

Doing an ASP.NET web app at the moment. C# == awesome.
