and I hope to go further with C++ and expand what I know and learn other languages too...

most of my experience is in java (4 years), but i've been programming in c++ for about 3. to me their pretty much the same that's why anytime i submit a c++ snippet i submit java as well.

i'm learning mostly data structure type stuff (i'm mostly oo... talk about irony). personally i like writing calculators and convertors. also random programs. i'm OCD about them...

Tell me about it soaking right up. I started learning C++ when i was twelve, and yes, it goes REALLY fast to learn a new language, be it real or computer, when you are in that age.

I took a long break from coding and damn, it was easy to wake that dormant knowledge up. And it was quite a stupid problem i started at. The mathematical operator !. It took me a while to get it to work, i suppose i never learned the difference between ++int and int++.

Now i'm working on a MORPG, it is really fun and you are really happy when you're done with that hard piece of code loading a .bmp file and making it into a city.

I'm happy i learned it back then, it is so much fun when you know it.

I have been doing C for 2.5 Years and C++ for about 1.5 (Maybe 2).
I am working on a UDP Remote (With Mouse Control, LAN only so far), and a Chess Game (I have never done graphics before, and its also a great place to start on AI's).
I have made:
-Password Generator for Original Metroid
-AutoBrowsing Program (IE and FireFox)
-Log in / out Timer
-My first windowed program with controls, also played Mario Theme using Beep(int iFrequency, int iMiliseconds)

My next thing is going to be iPhone/iTouch with Obj-C. (I need to get a Mac first!! )

My high school programming class is very boring... I can't think of anything I didn't already know before I was in that class...

C++ isn't my thing, and it never will be. I'll probably end up like pbl. He works with C++ at his job, and uses Java otherwise so that he can stay sane and not want to shoot himself [and/or other people] at work everyday.
