transparent gif

how do i create a transparent gif in photoshop 6....it used to be that i could just go to file export and there'd be an option but there's not...

make a new file, add a new layer, delete the old layer(it has the white background) and export normally.

when you go to Save for Web, make sure that the Transparent box is checked

i got it (thanks to sloth) instead of doing save for web i needed to do a save as, and that worked....thanks guys
