Studying math in university is paying off. Using a lot of what I learned programming AI behavior for this game. Currently implementing the AI deciding what mana to add to their mana pool, how to most effectively use that mana based on their "personality" and then how to maximize the order that their cards are played in. First two parts are completed. The third is what I'm working on currently and will be a bit more challenging. I've also left room for predictive play, for lack of a better term, where if the AI waits a few turns to play a card rather than play it their turn they will get more benefits from saving it to play later.

Checked in some new code this morning related to globalization. Now looking into the user profile section of the platform that we are using. It supports version 1.2 of the product and the version of the product we are using is 1.9.2. Just a little out of date. ;)

Drink the coffee. Coffee is life. Coffee makes the headache go away. Coffee makes the world a little shinier. Life without coffee is like endless night, only without the hope of dawn, and it's really late at night so not so much is going on, and even if there were something going on, you haven't had any coffee, so you're all tired and headachey and cranky and you don't like it and you just want to go home and go to sleep, which is what the lack of coffee does to you.

    Drink the coffee, dammit.

I guess that means I was born to never see the light, a child of darkness so to speak. I have never drank even a cup of coffee in my entire life. Fear what lurks in the dark.

    Same here.

    Hey Jamie
Is you XNA 4.0 RPG Tutorials as good as your XNA 3.0 RPG Tutorials?
Are they pretty much the same, just that one is 4.0 and the other one is 3.0?
    The 3.0 looks larger.
    Best Regards Thomas

I don't know how else to contact you, but would you care if I ported your RPG tutorials over to the MonoGame Framework? I do plan on using your tutorials as a base for a game and I do plan on altering the heck out of it when I'm done.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I only signed up so that I could thank you for your tutorial on rpg for xna. I didn't know how else to message you so Thank You very much. I'm more of an art person but I'm working on my first solo game because a artist looking for a coding parter is apparently just as hard as a coder looking for a artist partner lol. Anyway Thanks Again.

Hi SixOfEleven, I'm new here so apologies for commenting and not PMing. I'm having troubles with your XNA4 RPG tutorial (, part18b. I can't seem to find/open my game.xml file. I've tried changing the filepath and even tried your project and was unsucessful in both. Was wondering if you would be able to help me please? Thanks
