In Topic: How to set Generic Type when extending a class?
Posted 3 Dec 2011

When you extend BaseClass, you can specify the type by doing the following (as an example):
class Child extends BaseClass<Integer>{}
Keeping it generic:
class Child<T> extends BaseClass<T>{}
Specifying the actual data type when extending the class did the trick! Simple solution, thanks for the assist macosxnerd101! -
