Posted 19 Aug 2013Hmm... is readability an issue? I thought there was enough contrast to read easily
Posted 19 Aug 2013Not bad.. the background image is a bit fat.. not to mention it may do a bit easier on the refresh blink if the background color wasn't black, but was a blue akin to the majority of the background image.
The header's in an okay spot, the the text is readable, and things work. Fun stuff.
Yeah.. I already compressed the image alot to about 90-100kb and anything below that the image gets real distorted imo.. I'll have to look into other options perhaps
Posted 19 Aug 2013I really like the look, it's neat and distinctive />
What's the weight-loss thing on the right? It looks like an advert, which would put me off a site. If it is a personal story then I would re-title it so it doesn't look like an annoying link.
Thanks! Yeah it is a personal story of mine..the side bar has the most recent posts titles listed so maybe that is what your referring to. I guess I'll re-title it to look less spamish.
Posted 24 Jul 2013This questions gets asked more then anything else. Starting to get annoying. Honestly, any (newer) laptop with a screen, a keyboard and a mouse pad will work. Unless your crunching quantum physics or complex graphic intensive programs, why would you spend 1-2 grand for something that honestly all you need is notepad++ or bare minimum specs to run your IDE?
I feel like college students use this excuse and get it in there head that " hey I'm going to college so let me spend tons of money on a laptop, cuz you know, I'll be coding the next windows or facebook".
Whether it's an AMD or intel, 4gb or 8gb, 250gb hd or 500hd, on-board or pci-e video card.. I'm pretty sure it will handle your "Hello World" app. Save some money and don't get that "god" laptop and be ready to pay off your student loans instead.
Posted 12 Jul 2013Try forcing the browser to not use compatibility mode for IE and to use its latest engine.
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge,chrome=1">
The X-UA-Compatible meta tag must appear straight after the title in the <head> element. No other meta tags, css links and js scripts calls can be placed before it.
If there are any conditional comments in the page (lets say located in the <html>), they must be placed under, after the <head>
