About Me
I've had a great interest in computers since I was 4-5 years old, so most of my life now. I started formally learning how to program in 2004-2005 while in high school. My teacher taught us Pascal, and then moved us up to Delphi. I loved it, and I knew it was something I would always enjoy doing. Prior to that I had tried my hand at learning Visual Basic when I was 9-10 years old, and had built a LOT of web pages with trusty Notepad since then as well.
After completing high school, I took a break from programming, as I didn't want to concern myself with "hard work" and was happy working jobs I hated (i.e. hard labour jobs). In 2008, I moved to Brisbane, Australia to be with my girlfriend Aimee, and figured it was time to find a career I'd be proud of, and more importantly, enjoy. So I took a programming course at a tertiary organisation, and from there it helped me grow into what I am today. I learnt C++, Java, Bash, SQL, database design skills and a strong basis for good software design principles, but most importantly a real appreciation for the art.
Now, in 2011, I'm still studying, but at Griffth university, still in Brisbane. I'm graduating at the end of this year, and I couldn't be more excited about it. I can't wait to get paid to do what I live and breathe every day. Currently I'm learning about artificial intelligence and graphics programming, and I intend to further this learning a lot more. I have experience in quite a few languages, but my favourite by far is Python.
Apart from all these things, I'm an avid gamer and reader (when I have the time!), and I enjoy travelling.
I recently discovered a great love for mathematics, and am quickly burning my way through all the world on Khan Academy.
