I tried running in compatibility mode but no gain.

As per your suggestion I also downloaded the Mathematica 9.0.1 Trial and I am having similar issues here.

Well thanks for your time but again, the link you provided is for an ad hoc network. I am interested in one with Access Point mode. I found something more interesting: The Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter which comes built in with Windows 7.

While I got this working, I believe my 3G provider has disabled ICS through Miniport. I think Connectify is my only solution here. I will try the Linux scripts that use Access Point mode and post up the results here so others can benefit. Thanks for your time once again!

It works for other computers, but Android devices can't connect to it, because it's not in access point mode.

Well I think I got the right term: Access Point Mode. Windows Internet Connection Sharing is not done in access point mode, neither is the WLAN created by GNOME's network manager on Linux. Hence Android and Windows phones cannot connect to them without some tweaks in their own system.

I have come across Linux scripts that can broadcast internet in access point mode from a router. Any way I can do that in Windows?

Please don't say Connectify, since it's out of my budget.
