I gave a presentation about Macintosh malware for one of my classes last semester. Two days before I gave the presentation, there had been two news articles released that I used. One talked about how there was a new crimeware kit that was targeted specifically at making Macintosh botnets. The other talked about a fake antivirus program that was targeting Macintosh users and downloading malware.

As long as criminals can make a buck, they are willing to target those willing to click dangerously. With Apple gaining some headway on the desktop market, more malware will be created for the OSX platform.

Also, if you think your phone is incapable of running malware, think again.
