Posts I've Made
Posted 8 Aug 2012I do like that trick. I learn something new everyday. I hit end and then pagedown and it only went to line34, mind you I have about 3000+ lines in this report. Also not sure if I mentioned it before I am running a macro while creating my piviot table. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Posted 22 Mar 2012If the member number is always going to start with R, do you really need your users to key it in?
If not, just use the LEN function to ensure the keyed entry is 8 characters long. Use the ISNUMERIC function to determine it's a number.
Alternatively, you let them key 9 characters and use the LEFT function to check the first character is R, then use the MID function to extract the last 8 chars and use the functions described above.
I could'nt have the R default to the text box, because our system did not recognize the selstart command. So, I used the LEN function to ensure they keyed the 9 characters and the mid function to make sure that the first character was an "R". Then for character 2-9 i used a for...next function that checks if character 2 to 9 are IsNumeric. Thank you for your help!
Posted 18 Dec 2011I was able to use a hyperlink, which solved my issue. I do have another question. Right now I have it so if you leave the text box empty it will give an error message. how would i go about getting the error message if you add letters to the text box.
Posted 18 Dec 2011I tried that and it did not work.
