    I didn't exactly fix my problem but I worked around it by doing the following:
    Created a servlet to handle the parameters and moved the functions from DOMparser to there. Then moved music.xml to the package user. Not as elegant as I would like, but it works, so hey.

    Oops, made a typo in my op, WEB_INF = WEB-INF.
    I just tried your suggestion and i'm getting a similar error.

    java.io.FileNotFoundException: \WEB-INF\music.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)
