Is there a reason you need to use both C++ AND Objective C? While Objective C++ is a legitimate language you're probably better served to stick to one or the other.

i want to reuse the C++ code of the version before and write a new gui in Objective-C so i choose to use a combination of both.

    Thanks for all your help,

i've managed to get rid of this error by placing the "#include <WinTypes.h>" into the .cpp file, not the header and then defined just the 2 types i needed as private variables by myself in the .h file.
