1. In Topic: use of HashSet and ICollection for foreign key relationship in classes

Posted 19 Apr 2015

I know that HashSet is used to get the unique members. ICollection is used when iterate among our classes using a foreach loop and also for count property.
But why need to use = new HashSet<course>(); in the constructor and ICollection for the property.

Guys here is the attachment for my question. Sorry for the inconvenience.

My code is this, but it is not working.

import os,re

fileName_path = input ("Please input the file name with location: ")
directory = os.path.dirname(fileName_path)
fileName = os.path.basename(fileName_path)
oF = open(fileName ,"r")
with oF as readFile:
for searchpattern in readFile:
cnt ="tempCharSearch[\s]:[\s]= [\s]\'[\d]-[\d]-[\d]\'",searchpattern,re.IGNORECASE)
if cnt:
print (cnt)
3. In Topic: get input via a class and and use the input in another class

Posted 8 Jan 2014

When I remove radius parameter from
float getRadius = ui1.GetInput(radius);

I get the following error.

The method GetInput(float) in the type UserInterface is not applicable for the
arguments ()

What is this error?

Thank you for the quick reply. Ive some confusions though.

I tried to go with your reply but can not make up to the outputs.

Please can you help with the code.

package set_01_14_pkg;
import java.util.Scanner;

public class UserInterface
float radius;
Scanner in = new Scanner(;
public float GetInput(float radius)
System.out.println("Enter the radius of the circle");
rad = in.nextFloat();
return rad;

public class GetResult {
public static void main(String[] args)
UserInterface ui1 = new UserInterface();
float getRadius = ui1.GetInput(radius); // getting error radius cannot be resolved
System.out.println(" radius "+ getRadius);

getting the error: radius cannot be resolved
How to pass the value of the radius to the Circle CLASS to calculate the area too.

You got me - a curious question - what's the business case where a user.. *A* user would be creating individual tables for themselves _AND_ defining dynamic column number?

obviously I've the requirement.

can you please reply me how can I do it?
