Posted 20 Nov 2012Thanks for the infos.
Posted 11 Jul 2012No, I was asking if someone knew of a "Hello, world" sample that I could try to compile to get started. Thanks for the constructive contribution.
Posted 15 Jun 2012Thanks for the input.
It looks like Linux + Mono + VB.Net isn't a popular option, so it's safer to stick to Windows + .Net.
Posted 13 Jun 2012Sure, if the parts of ASP.NET that Mono provides are enough for you, then using that is perfectly OK. They haven't ported the entire ASP.NET feature set that Microsoft includes in their own version, but they do have plenty of features nonetheless. - Read more about it here.
Thanks for the infos. Is there a good, up-to-date list of what parts are missing, so I can check whether they could be important?
I'd like some feedback from people who have tried both solutions to see if the Mono solution is a viable option.
Posted 3 Apr 2012The interface is too complicated. Users only need to be able to select files, and hit Send. No local/remote, no file listings.
Besides, the ISP's server doesn't work well with recent releases of Filezilla.
So, is there a good FTP control for VB.Net that I could use?
