About Me
Recently joined the ranks of data mining software engineering. Building a history on that.
/>
Having been in the games industry for 7+ years, I have worked for such companies as PlayStation having worked on the original SDK for the PSVita, in addition to PS3 work. I also have XBox360 experience, and am was a games graphics and physics programmer. I have also very recently relocated to Canada to join a studio that has made EA games titles. I am in my element.
/>
I first started writing games about nearly ten years ago with my first ever game project being a full 3D snake-like clone incorporating Quake 3 like power ups called 'AntiVirus'. It was a completely solo project at the time and written in C++ with OpenGL and non-graphics components of DirectX. I currently have plans to sport it to Linux at some point just as an exercise more than anything else. Unfortunately, since joining the industry I had taken my demo website down so have nothing to show here right now.
I am currently also working on a large racing game project in DirectX with C++ in my own time. It is a large project that requires more than one programmer, but I see it as a nice challenge to complete it myself. Once it gets to a suitable stage of completion I will be adding HLSL code to make things look extra nice for the eye candy.
I was also very active in the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) where I ran the London Chapter for a while, being the most successful coordinator in its history. I used to also be one of the forum moderators for its Programming and Technology forum.
Discovered as well that I've made Forum Leader of the Month for January 2011! Very chuffed about that one!
