    Let me know if you want to see some code that might be relevant to what you're doing.
    The repo is at http://code.google.com/p/z-engine - feel free to look around, but it's a bit of a mess. I can point you to files that you'll find handy if you want.
    Really, it needs a total overhaul, I think, but I haven't had a chance lately.
