In Topic: What do you do when you're not at a computer?
Posted 4 Sep 2011
Stuff I do...
Martial arts and reading. That's about it really. You could add playing videogames on my 360 but that basically using a computer.
Most other times I'm Minecrafting, surfing the net and just doing your general computer stuff on a computer.
Good life, I say, a good life it is. -

Haha, I thought I'd be told that QC would be a long (long, long,) way away
. Strike that one off the list.
@modi; I hadn't heard of the Bulldozer cores (until just then). A quick wiki search of it and my curiosity has been piqued. I'll look into that, thanks. Oh, and I hope you get your VR headset, that'd be wicked.
@Curtis; Doubting QC as the next 'big thing?' I suppose that's logical, from what I've gained from the complex and very in depth articles, it might stay as government/military hardware. Something for the future to show us I guess.
Also, I suppose it's a given that we'll always be getting a new and 'more powerful' processor from Intel every couple of years. You're right, if I keep waiting I'll just miss out on everything by waiting.
Well, thanks for your input.
Oh yeah, whoever moved this thread to the right section, much appreciated. Derp on my part. -

Ah E3, how I wish to visit that place of gaming heaven one day.
I'll certainly be crawling through other forums later today, maybe even youtube the conferences. I'm interested in the new Ninty console; Project cafe (As I know so far, it's name has probably been revealed by now.)
Also, some more news on Half Life 2; Ep 3 would be nice. I've been waiting for it for about... Since I finished Ep 2. Lol. There aren't many details about it except some things that are enough to get the Half Life fans pumped about it.
Mirror's Edge 2 is another one. Mirror's Edge was a personal favourite of mine, even though there were a few gameplay bugs and not so well thought out moments in the game. I hope that ME2 brings a new story, more of that fresh gameplay and irons out those bugs and bad gaming moments...
Finally, the big one (That's what she said
), Skyrim.
Looking at the trailers for Skyrim, I hope there are some new mechanics in there as seen in the trailers. Seriously, dual-wielding for swords? Win. Sword in one hand, spell at the ready in the other? Win. Assassinations? Win.
The problem with showing these, other people (and me) will now be expecting them. So it'll end up being a whole pile of disappointment when we actually get the game.
I think I'll be happy even if I don't get those features because I know there will be different features and whole new world to explore. Oh yeah, I forgot the dragons...
I've had my rant and taken up enough space on this thread for multiple posts. All I can say in my defense is that I'm excited about these new games. -
In Topic: Drawing Instances of Object (class) with foreach loop

Oh, whoops. I just realised I made a few assumptions in my post.
Sorry about that. I hope I'm right with those assumptions but I'm most likely wrong. If I'm wrong then... Whoops is just about all I can say.

In Topic: Drawing Instances of Object (class) with foreach loop

OK, awesome a question I can answer.
First up, check your fields in the MeeleeEnemy class. Is the position field static? If so, then that's why they are all being drawn on top of each other. Change it to a non-static field and where you initialise your array in the Game1.cs, add a random function inside the 'for' loop to it so they all spawn in different places.
You're using a slightly different method to what I use so it might mix things up a little for you. If I may suggest making a Draw method in your MeeleeEnemy class so you in this 'foreach' loop you can just put (assuming you keep your variable name 'e');
e.Draw();
I hope that's clear enough for you and fixes your problem. If I'm being a little vague, get back to me and I'll post up some code for you to have a look at.
Good luck with your coding.
